The spline school was a project completed in the spring of 2015 at Pratt Institute. The prompt was to create a space that deals with light an air in an innovative way. The Spline school began with many sets of geometry studies to articulate different lighting and air movement patterns. The form that I ended with created very unique opportunities for both natural and artificial light, air travel, and vertical circulation. These "splines" were used to house MEP systems, create the primary super structure and retain the ability to delineate spaces.
